Ivan Demidov - Montreal Canadien

Keith was drafted in the second round, 54th overall. Seabrook went in the first round, 14th overall. Neither was worth using a 2nd overall pick to get.
Completely different point. Doughty was drafted second overall and was critical to the Kings' successes. Not comparing Levshunov to him, I have no idea how he projects, nor do I care since he's not our player.

Ultimately I don't care either since Chicago's mistake was to our ultimate advantage. If the defensemen we have in the pipeline pan out as expected we will be more than good enough on the back end to win. Shit, even in the dogshit 2021 fluke run we had enough on the back end to win. What we didn't have was a Kucherov or a Stamkos.

Bro, Keith definitely would have been worth that pick in 9 out of 10 drafts. He’s a HOF’er and Hawks probably don’t win those two cups without him. This is a bad look for you.

Another new Demigod vid by a scout for Dobber Prospects. Highlights his insane creativity. But also what concerned me about him, his 10-2 skating style leaving him vulnerable to injuries. Hope our staff works with him to adapt his style using more of the outer edges to mitigate potential injury.

There appears to be an agreement in place between the Habs and SKA regarding Demidov's usage this coming season by them. Bobrov's father probably had some role in this. Playing with SKA (and actually getting ice time) is probably the best thing for his development.

- I talked to the Montreal Canadiens for an hour and a half. Head coach Martin St Louis was not in touch, but there was a special adviser on hockey operations Vincent Lecavalier, club president, general manager and all managers.

We discussed Demidov, we talked about everything well. There was a very positive conversation about how we will develop Ivan in SKA. There was not even a talk about him leaving for Canada now. It's the evildoers who threw fake news. Maybe it's even rocking Russian journalists.

Why wouldn't the Habs pay to get him over asap? He'd definitely be better off getting top 6 minutes in Laval.

If he came over thos year, I think Laval would be the right move. Next season he's in Montreal unless he has a bad season this year.
For the Habs, maybe. Not sure if Demidov would be interested. Or even if SKA would have an issue with it. Not even sure it’s what the Habs would want to do. I think we keep him up if he comes.
