Laval Rocket Thread

Yup. Next year won't be that much better either for the forwards.

Might need to sign 1-2 Chris Terry / Adam Gaudette types. It's not like they're going to be blocking anyone coming up.

Farrell has all the makings of a Euroleaguer.

Small, not particularly fast, doesn't win puck battles to save his life, complete perimeter game...

Staying at Harvard for that second year was a hindrance.

I'd be shocked if he ever made the NHL beyond the odd call up here or there.

Heineman's a grinder at best. Maybe he makes it, maybe he doesn't. Either way, I'm apathetic.

Heinemen will be the new/replacement Ylonen eventually.

Heineman was a trade throw in
Farrell was a 4th round pick

By definition, not every lotto hits (like Roy in the 5th) so be grateful and keep hope alive you swines

Last few posts truly reinforce what needs to happen this summer:

One or two of our d-men need to be traded for forward prospects. Ideally players that could be in the mix to make the roster in training camp, or who might be a year away from making a real push to make it.

There's nothing in Laval. There's nothing coming next year. There's nothing coming the year after that. We'll see after this year's draft, but if we pick a forward with our first round pick, there's a chance they'll just plug him right into the NHL roster on day one. As for the rest of the draft picks we'll take, who the fuck knows.

I think we need to trade for guys who are NHL ready, not prospects (or at least we should good sense that they are credible.) Not superstars, just real bottom 6 NHL pros.

The current 4th line simply shouldn’t be in the NHL. Evans should never be on anything but the 4th line. Ylonen can be cut loose. Anderson and Gallagher… why beat a dead horse?

In the meantime, Laval can be restocked with draft picks.

Laval will get a little talent infusion with Beck and Mesar...but we desperately need to find an offensive stud in the upcoming draft.

That should be the easiest thing to build. Need to trade the D for top 6 potential
