I doubt they the Oilers trade Eberle for defensive help. Maybe they move Yakupov though.

Nuge scares me. Talentled but seems like has the potential to be injury prone.

As for Yak I don't know if he is still adjusting to the pro game but the kid seems like. He is always out of position.

RNH is damaged goods, and the Oilers wouldn't trade him for Rielly, nevermind Gardiner anyways. And there is just no way I'd trade Gardiner for another winger like Eberle or Yakupov.

I'd love to get a guy like Duchene or Koivu, but you'd have to add a bunch to Gardiner to get that done. I could be wrong, but I just don't realistically see a trade that makes sense.

The only thing that would really make sense is to trade him for an older established top pairing dman on a team trying to retool. But I'm not sure who that would be. Maybe a guy like Yandle. But of course that doesn't work at all with the cap, and that isn't what the report suggested.
