Kinda feel badly for Murray because really not his problem at all that Dubas made this weird move and the fans are in an uproar.

I remember not being a fan of that move and being oh so wrong when Eddie had his resurgence. Shock of the century.

But then he really was toast near the end of that deal and they resigned him! That's when I was fucking irate.

the other options were to wing it, or give Jack campbell (whose older than Murray and at their respective bests a clear step down) life changing money.

dubas got played in terms of value but I think I’m ultimately less upset about this one than PAYING the mediocre campbell.

I'm foggy on the chronology. I thought he trailed off at the end there (was his last game that play in on the final day of the season with NYI?). Maybe it was that he was great through the second year, but then they resigned him to that deal and there was a lockout in between and the guy was over 40? I remember thinking similar to what Dubie just did now, like why sign him now?? Something had happened where they made a dumb decision whether due to his age/play or timing of the resigning that made me sick.
