Never said that part at all. I also didn't say nobody will give up anything of consequence for him... His value is simply at its lowest that it has ever been for obvious reasons. And selling low to recoup mediocre value is rarely a good idea.

I understand it's Mindz who is hyping up Robertson as an elite-ish prospect and not you, but you said:

If it's not even a "decent" piece, then it's not really anything of consequence, is it? Sure his value is down a bit from a year or two ago, but I don't think it's completely cratered. There should be GM's out there who still consider him to be a high-end prospect. I still have him at #1 on our list.

At any rate, maybe it's just semantics, all I'm saying is that I think he has more than "decent" (there's that word again) trade value, and that in order to get a really good piece sure, we may have to sweeten the offer a bit more than we would last year, in terms of what else is included along with Robertson, but he's still one of if not our most valuable prospects.

Maybe Niemela has a reasonably high theoretical "upside" to some folks, and every team is interested in a big boy like Knies who's healthy and playing well, but there are teams out there that can see Robertson has high-end skills and numbers, and is closer to NHL-ready than most of our prospects.

There's worse stories that detail how deep their addiction was (more Stoll and Torres than anyone... Lupul was more of an alcoholic than anything) but coke and video games is funnier and kind of cute.
