Lineup Your Lineups - 2021-22 Edition

My opinion on young players getting spots on the team has always been, you can't give it to them. They need to steal a job and prove they can keep it, similar to what Jake Evans did.

Jake Evans' career trajectory is exactly how I would want my prospects to make it. Force them to improve, force them to steal someone else's job and force them to give the coach no other option but to remain in the lineup.

"Giving" spots to players before they're ready, hello Galchenyuk/KK/Latendresse/etc, is counter-productive.

I think Poehling's good enough to be an NHLer and I still think that he can be a third line center. Just a reminder, Danault was drafted in 2011, spent 2 & a half full years in the minors and only became an NHL regular in 2016, nearly 5 years later. Not even a good NHL regular, a spare body type of regular. Poehling was drafted in 2017, it's been four years. Had he not gotten a concussion at the beginning of his first pro camp, I think he would have made the team then and who knows what would have happened after that.

I have the feeling Poehling's going to come in and have an excellent camp, forcing them to keep him around.

I also have a good feeling about RP, and so does Berge I bet as he didn’t get into a bidding war for Danault, staying firm on his final offer despite the payoff success

I agree, my only caveat is when it's the waiver eligibility that decides instead of the performance. For example Ryan outperforms Paquette at camp but since he can be sent down without going through waivers, they keep Paquette to maintain their roster depth. It's understandable but can be counter productive.

Habs-25 is only in a good mood if you mention how Jews are cheap (or insert derogatory but totally not racist comment about them here) and should be treated like carpet.

Oh, and if you badmouth Price. Then he'll be doing great.

Anderson-Suzuki-Caufield
Toffoli-KK-Gallagher
Armia-Poehling-Hoffman
Lehkonen-Evans-Perreault
Paquette

Chiarot-??
Edmundson-Petry
Romanov-Savard
Kulak

They will most likely try to trade Drouin, it won't be easy though.

There is no excuse for RP not to start ahead of Paquette , Perrault , etc.... if he has a good camp

These additions are scrubs and have no future with us
