I wonder if it's just being active on Facebook in general that eventually makes one stupid or if it's just the groups. I'm in one group that generally has maintained their sanity for a while, but that might be the exception that proves the rule.Oddly enough, one of the Facebook Canes groups actually had people posting that tailgating was not allowed at the outdoor game...
I've seen virtually everything used in that parking lot, from bunsen burners (don't ask) to gigantic whole hog smokers. Not sure I've ever seen an open fire though. I think that's where the line is drawnMaybe JB or someone that knows the do's and dont's of Carter Finley tailgating rules can answer this...one of the folks in our tailgate group for the outdoor game asked about small Solo Stoves being allowed to be used? I know the grills are ok, but are Solo Stove type bonfire units allowed for a tailgate?
The extended forecast on The Weather Channel only goes through 2/17. It shows 20 - 60% chance of rain every day from Monday on with daytime highs in the low-mid 60s and nighttime lows in the mid-40s.The issue will be rain. So everybody do your anti-rain dances and rituals. They can compensate for most everything else, especially with a night game so the sun won't be a factor.
Yeah, pretty typical for NC in February really ... even with the higher temps. We're quite often in a 30s-50s cycle this time of year and it's often very wet, so adjusting that 10 degrees one way or the other isn't a big deal. And like I tell my travel clients, I'm never concerned about weather forecasts more than 2-3 days in advance other than for general trends. The extended forecast on The Weather Channel only goes through 2/17. That lot will be closed for Thursday’s game against the Habs. I’m sure the league will have that lot cleared out in plenty of time for the game. I’m just as sure that I’ll be elected the next Pope.Parking for the State/Carolina game should be ... interesting. State has designated parking permit zones that include the 1000 lot that is going to be shut down for the NHL's use. Those are among the most tenured Wolfpack Club people ... by which I mean older folks who have given a lot of money for a long time. They aren't great at changing on the fly. Plus, parking for the Carolina game is a crapfest EVERY year even under normal circumstances. Not only is it highly attended, it's highly attended by people who only go to the arena sporadically. It's always just a mess, and this year ... woof.
Congratulations, your Holiness. Tough gig. That lot will be closed for Thursday’s game against the Habs. I’m sure the league will have that lot cleared out in plenty of time for the game. I’m just as sure that I’ll be elected the next Pope.
The Pope Mobile gets priority parking anywhere, anytime so keep that in mind once elected! That lot will be closed for Thursday’s game against the Habs. I’m sure the league will have that lot cleared out in plenty of time for the game. I’m just as sure that I’ll be elected the next Pope.
Apparently they have a bail-out window to play the NHL game on Sunday evening if the weather forces them off the ice on Saturday. The NHL says a steady downpour is basically the only thing that would force a postponement. So, what happens if it's warm and raining for the game?
I’m worried about the end of the week. According to the Weather Channel, it looks like rain all day on Thursday with a daytime high in the 70s and overnight low in the mid 50s. Rain tapers off on Friday and the temperature doesn’t go up by much with an overnight low in the low 30s. Saturday is a high in the low 50s and an overnight low in the mid-30sSo, what happens if it's warm and raining for the game?
