That Chris Johnson quote makes it sound like klingberg is deciding which route to take with his health (surgery vs rehab vs retirement) vs prior quotes made it sound like he was trying to come back.
 
honestly the hockey gods are so on our side this year.

Treliving almost cost us Timmins, and I bet you Timmins is good...and fills the need for an offensive/2nd pp dman role perfectly.

But Timmins got injured, so we could keep him just long enough for Klingberg to be finished.

yah this feels nice. Even with a 23 man roster now we have $1.7m in capspace. Haven't been in this situation in ages. or maybe ever? not a cap team?

and yeah we could up that capspace to $4.4m by going to a 20 man roster.....and then even add whatever salary guy being replaced if we're making a trade upgrade.

now all we need is some positive news on the Liljegren front. Today marks 3 weeks from his injury. High Ankle sprains are usually 6-8 week recoveries but can be longer.

Hopefully his is more of the 6 week variety and he can come back in less than a month.
 
Signing Klingberg for 4.15 to eat up ltir space from Murray and muzzin, scheduling games in Sweden so that Klingberg would need to take a long haul flight and stiffen up his hips and then ltir’ing klingberg to free up 3m+ in cap space to spend during the season wss all part of the shanaplan
