Big game for Woll tonight. If he plays well they shouldn't be afraid to go right back to him. Skeptical though, as neither goalie looked particularly great in preseason. A bit nervous about their goaltending quite frankly, and even more worried that if it's their achilles heel this year, Tre overcorrects and blows his load on one. But it's early yet.

Worst case Hildeby saves them.

Neither of these guys has earned anything. Samsonov had a solid regular season following a couple of bad ones, but then lost his job by the end of the playoffs.

And then Woll was looking like a busted prospect until he magically transformed from a pumpkin to a good goalie last year.

So, yeah—just play the hot hand.

I’m actually fully on board with that this year. My faith in their ability to perform in the playoffs hasn’t changed, but I don’t see the point in making myself miserable about it all year when this is supposed to be entertainment.

And the first two games have been entertaining as hell. Fire wagon hockey, tons of offense, ridiculous feats from our star player and some fights. Thoroughly enjoyed both games.
