That instead of playing these plugs who immediately find themselves out of the league after they leave Toronto, we had actually played Robbie, Steeves, Holmberg, Lilly, Timmins and we knew who had earned roles on the team, and what holes we actually had to fill.

It’d be a shame to waste the year with Keefe and then fire him when the season ends in predictably early fashion.

It’d be even more stupid to move Robertson because the coach won’t play him. Only to fire the coach at the end of the season.

We need a big upgrade on defense. Identify the next Muzzin trade. Aim as high as possible.

I think my Leaf love is slowly dying. If we can't win with guys who might break the NHL all time goals record, fastest Leaf to get to 600 points, top 3 dman in scoring in franchise history, etc., then how and when the fuck will we ever win? Do we always have to suffer through the idiocy of shithead coaches and lackluster GMs? I'm starting to hate this shit.

I think the danger for this group is if they don't come close to winning they will be remembered for regular season stats and taking the most $ possible. Might be a tad unfair, but that will be what they are remembered for.
I'm hoping Florida passes Boston because that Bruins forward group is not deep or good.
 
Its not like they havent done deals with the Sens before. I think the days of refusing to trade within your div are done.

You have to do whats best for your team and if the Leafs offer the best package you take it
 
they don't even really need to win a cup to be gods in this town either tbh.

a conference finals appearance would probably have people looking at them a little differently - at least it did on on those quinn teams.
