Might actually be able to trade him for something at the deadline now rather than lose him on waivers trying to send him back down when Woll is healthy.

yeah definitely zero cap issues. our biggest cap issue is that we are sitting on unused capspace trying to compete with teams who are all capped out. we should be capped out too.

Originally he was called up to replace an injured Woll. But since then we waived and demoted Samsonov.

So if he ever was an “emergency recall” in the first place, I’d be pretty surprised if he still counted as one now.

I guess we’ll see. But usually when goalies have been up on an emergency recall in the past, it’s indicated that on CapFriendly.

But Jones just shows as a regular roster player.

Sammy was recalled on Jan.10 so he can be sent down without waivers for another 2.5 weeks.
