Austin came out of the weekend looking really good. Just a cool, nice dude. They should be marketing him way harder in the US. He should be hosting SNL with Beibs.
LIst of dmen on teams that are out of it with > 33% dsf, plus rel xGF% and 17+ mins 5v5 (Top 90ish) . And it does not include players teams wouldn't trade like Guhle and Faber.
Mario Ferraro
Alex Vlasic
Henry Thrun
Noah Hanifin
Artem Zub
Zub, Hanifin and Ferraro are the only ones with > 0.9 5v5 p/60.
Brodin just misses the DSZ (31%) and Tanev just misses TOI, and points.
Hanifin, Brodin, Zub are obvious targets. Ferraro is kind of interesting though, because he is 25, signed cheap for 3 years and his numbers on the surface are terrible. But he gets 38% dzf on maybe the worst team ever.
I don't love watching ASGs usually but I think by all accounts and from the bit I saw, it seemed the NHL did a good job with this one. I recognize their choices aren't really geared towards me in my late 30s. Bieber and Tate McCrae are fairly big deals though and I think the jerseys seemed to really appeal to the younger crowd.Austin came out of the weekend looking really good. Just a cool, nice dude. I dunno what Kucherov did this time but yup, confirmed asshole.
Also agreed re the kids thing. I went to the ASG in 2000 in Toronto and I'm still here talking to you fuckers 24 years later.
So you're saying it's a bad idea to take a kid to the Allstars game?I dunno what Kucherov did this time but yup, confirmed asshole.

broken knuckle, yeahJarnkrok has an actual broken bone, right? That would mean an easy LTIR i think? wouuld give us plenty of room to call anyone up.
If they don't want to LTIR him they could send down Lagesson for a forward.
hockey gods may just save us from ourselves one more time...Sheldon must be absolutely beside himself right now figuring out what he's going to do without his matchup centre.
