I understand the notion to feel that, meh, its a number 7, nothing to get worked up about, but you can bet biscuits to badgers they view this guy as a Rielly partner, which is very problematic. Not just because a shit defender is going to take ice from a better one, but its unnerving that this is how they evaluate talent.

Kinda like paying IKF to be a starting 3B
 
I dont think Treliving actually wears glasses, but he wore them in an interview once to sound smarter, then he got hired and kept up the schtick
 
While I've got it open...

- Boosh is the worst PK defender on the Ducks according to GA/60 and xGA/60.
- Isn't even handling the heavies, and has a 37% GF and 41.4% xG. The RHD handling the heavies? Radko fucking Gudas, who has a GF of 54% and an xG of 51.5%. Boosh is fucking 5th in defensive zone starts on Anaheim. Fucking Anaheim doesn't trust him anywhere near the heavies and he's getting fucking wrecked in light usage for fuck sakes.
- Worst among Ducks defencemen in every offensive statistic. Not even kidding, all of them.
- One thing he's good at is taking minor penalties. 1.37/60. Would be #1 by a lot on the Leafs.
- A positive side effect of the other team having the puck 63% of the time when he's on the ice? Tons of blocked shots. Would be 2nd on the Leafs in that. The guy ahead of him is the same guy he'll be stealing minutes from, Timmy Lilijegren. Of course Lilly does that whole shot blocking thing without the other team having the puck the entire time he's on the ice, but details details.
- Despite never having the fucking puck, this plug is also one of the worst on Anaheim for giving the puck away.


Yet again we've decided to make our contender better by getting the worst player on the worst team in the league and convincing ourselves that the way the play the game is the right way and will make us better.

Klingberg, Reaves, Gregor, Benoit, Boosh...Benoit has been a pleasant surprise, but that list is all kinds of ooooooof

The NHL is sad. 2 trades in 2 days for meh players that didn't even make that much that required 3 teams involved.
