No Excuses No Limits! The mother fucking goddamn season thread

Minten - 1.65 ixG/60, 56.86 xGF%, 2.06 xGA/60
Holmberg - 0.1 ixG/60, 32.43 xGF%, 3.23 xGA/60

Come on Keefe, who are you kidding.
Unfair comparison tbh. Throw Minten with Reaves and see how he does. Hint: it won't be good.

I agree that he was given too quick of a hook tho.

Quick update on the folks below water on the roster. Lots of dead weight so far this year. Brodie making an appearance is a surprise. Kling trending up in easier minutes and McCabe still has been a weak link. And then the 4th line is just crucifying them obviously. I won't comment on the #6 guy here because I really don't like when WP logs off. He's funny and I enjoy his presence.

Holmberg also wasn't particularly good last year.

He's a nice 13th/14th forward. Playing him over Minten is nuts.

Also, Kampf's play away from Reaves the last 2 games is very concerning. 27.55xGF%.

Any comparable to pull from the poor start last year? Some of these are just not overly good players but are there any ties to Keefe's system dragging some numbers down?

I am a bad person of course but i've been waiting for him to get in some big fights and then unfortunately get concussion-like symptoms.

not gonna lie but last night's game has me worried, despite the scoreline.

That game was awful to watch, and statistically even worse - it's pretty much brought all the team stats into the thoroughly mediocre range, which doesn't seem that bad until you realize that our schedule has been tissue soft so far - even easier than it looked on paper because FLA is so banged up and TB and WSH look much worse than many thought they would.

DAL on thursday is a big test because that's an elite team on paper playing like an elite team on the ice so far. It's pretty much our first game against a legit very good team this season and they'll kill us if we play like we did last night.

this is fair, but its still too early for me to worry much.

but our bottom-six is definitely an early area of concern.

Knies - Matthews - Robertson
Bertuzzi - Tavares - Nylander
Domi - Jarnkrok - Marner
Gregor - Minten - Holmberg
