Yo @zeke - give me those nerd stats you've posted about how good Lilly is despite all the bullshit he's had to overcome with fats dominoes pizza and his pizza overlord. Frenemy is pissing me off telling me he's the worst, and is rightfully benched, and that literally 15 Habs D prospects are better than him. I need some shut up material pronto.

related, it's also hilarious that Keefe was forced into/stumbled upon finally trying this Bert-Matthews-Domi combo right at the end of the season, and now it looks good enough to completely upend how Keefe usually builds his lines.

How did Woll play against New Jersey?

I have a feeling like they are going to start Samsonov in the playoffs and I think we are going to get burned

The best lineup, even though I don’t love him there, is probably Nylander moving to C on that third line with Robby and Knies, and then Holmberg to the 4th line.

There’s no doubt Sammy is starting. They’re giving it to the guy that got them past a round last year, doesn’t matter what Woll does now.

Would switch holmberg and JT. Give JT lesser competition with Nylander and hope they dominate it. He’s just too slow. Can put him out for offensive faceoffs with marner and Nylander sometimes.

There's no 16th team that's close to these top-15 other than maybe Minnesota, except since the deadline their lineup is filled up with a bunch of kids with no net ratings so it's hard to say what their actual net rating is.


But again, the Leafs have never actually iced anything close to their best possible Net Rating lineup, and it looks like for the playoffs the Leafs are likely to sacrifice at least around +25 from their best possible lineup by playing Kampf, Boosh, Eddy over Robertson, Timmins, Gio. And they could easily sacrificie much more than that if they insert Reaves (-12) into the lineup for someone else.
