I can see a lot of teams calling about him at the deadline. Cheap depth with those cup wins which mean absolutely nothing in 2025.

I can't see us moving him. My guess is he would be played before hildabeast in the playoffs.

Without reps he'll never be ready. There's two types of #3 goalies. Career journeymen who aren't good enough to hang in the show, and prospects. Hard pass on leaving prospects stuck behind a career journeyman because he might stop 1-2 more pucks than a kid would in the 5-10 games we're going to need from a #3.
In the 5 games he's played, Hildeby has been bad enough to impact the outcome of the game himself once and we're 3-2 in the 5 starts. It's possible to chew gum and walk (develop and compete) in the NHL, all at the same time. You just have to stop wanting placeholder plugs anywhere in your lineup and play your fucking kids, accepting the ups and downs that comes with.

Really don’t get why this keeps being brought up as an idea.
Do people just keep forgetting the fact that Woll is extremely injury-prone, and Stolarz (who is currently injured) has never started more than 28 games in a season?
So why do we want to fire goalie depth out of a cannon ahead of the playoffs, exactly? Especially considering a 3rd round pick is probably about the best you could possibly expect to get for Murray, based on what depth goalies go for at the deadline.
