It’d be a truly rare and special occasion to find a coach so awful that they’re the only person to blame for their team’s problems. Or even the biggest problem.

It’s moreso that these guys are eminently replaceable to a much greater degree than most people acknowledge, and teams should be less gun-shy about giving them the boot when things aren’t working.

Especially when they’ve already had as many kicks at the can with this group as Sheldon has.

I mean it looks like they weren’t wrong for wanting a coach for these kids who would turn them into Ibaka endowed men but unfortunately they hired and out of touch sociopath.

I’ve never seen any of the big 4 get legitimately pissed off. In a game filled with insane people with short fuses. It’s tough to find any guy who doesn’t flip his lid now and again and the leafs gave 40m to lock up 4 of them.
 
That's fair yeah. He hasn't earned a very long leash. If things don't drastically change by game 20 Tre deserves to bring in his own guy. And if that guy doesn't help things and kling, bert and Domi are all still useless, then fire pizza man. Don't give a fuck.

But I still have some hope for Bert and maybe a little for Domi.

Little boy Mitch was right there and could have given Marchand a shot. Which frankly would have been the smart thing to do because it would have ended the play vs 20 seconds in the dzone 4v5 with a dead guy lying in the corner.

If pizza man’s a bust and has to go, Shanny’s got to go with him though. No way he should be sticking around to hire his fourth different GM.

Was watching a video about soccer managers getting fired. Carlo Ancelotti got fired after finishing second in the EPL the year after he won the damn thing. There’s something to be said for accountability vs whatever the Leafs are doing

Hockey players/coaches/gms who complain about the big market pressure in Toronto don’t know how easy they have it compared to their soccer counterparts in Europe
