No Excuses No Limits! The mother fucking goddamn season thread

The good news is if they get Zadorov now and he sucks and/or they are still missing an upper echelon guy, they can still technically bail on him by the deadline and go big fish hunting instead. It would be a hilarious year of Tre correcting mistakes. But if he corrects them I'm on with it I guess.

Utilizing your two bullets on d now, with neither being cheap salary-wise nor a top pair d, concerns me a bit. I feel like it would be similar to the last couple of years where they settle for mediocrity as opposed to going big fish hunting. Just 1 top pair d and everyone will look good honestly. Acquiring an expensive third pair d just feels so pointless to me. Tanev is better at least and maybe he really will be the best guy out there this year, who knows

Matthews = PK God
Good thing we kept the krok. Special team guru.

Nice early numbers from Laggy too. Eye test and nerdies are both fans.

except there's no reason for Calgary to do that deal, even before getting to the part where you're asking them to retain 50%

No no... my ideas aren't fully fleshed out like that. I like certain players and throw some possible players.

That being said. Zadorov is exactly what we need for a playoff run. A big guy who wears down other teams forwards and can contribute offensively. Zadorov's nerdies are pretty good and bigger Dmen like that take a little longer to totally blossom. He's number 4D on my idea.

Tanev is a stabilizing force that can really let Reilly go out offensively.

I also still like Mcabe and Timmins, I think really was ready to show his stuff this year with that big preseason. Doan would know a lot about him as well from Arizona.

Klinger has to go obviously and I want to keep Lilly obviously.. but if he can wait and get FULLY healthy then I hope to keep Mcabe and Timmins in and therefore going with 7D allowing Gio some rest throughout the season and then using Gio to spell off some other guys for rest.

So here's my perfect line up with Zad and Tan in the line up. (I may even think of trading Brodie... but

Reilly Tanev
Lilly/Brodie Zadorov
Mcabe Timmins
Gio

Thats a bigger/meaner defense with offense on each pair that I have ever seen.

And Hanafin is the worst choice. He's not very bright and doesn't move the needle as much.

Ben Shapiro and 5000 weird sadistic gore accounts and the guy chooses to include a math account in his tweet.
