Lagging indicators vs leading indicators mate.

The gambling market on shit like this is the king of lagging indicators. The money is made by the houses on being data arbitrage specialists, not on actually knowing what's going to happen before it does.

I buy into the idea that his debate team prepped him with the wrong data. Spend a lot of time feeding an 80 year old man a shitload of facts and statistics, then ask him to recite them later on live television and this is what you get, a jumbled mess. Unnecessary too, as that type of argument doesn't work against a lie machine. There's also the fact that he had a cold which fucked with his voice.

It is essential he does better at the next debate, though. Lose the deer in the headlights look and spend most of your time defending democracy and attacking Trump's most obvious bullshit.

If the moderator isn't going to fact check trump in real time, they need to get rid of the mic mute. You have to give Biden to opportunity to look like this:

At the very least, we have confirmation that it is being discussed internally. I'm not sure I buy that there's absolutely 0% chance or 100% chance of one event happening over the other. Until a decision is made Biden does not benefit by being wishy washy about his candidacy. He will likely continue to be firm publicly that he will run so it'll be tough to know whether a decision was actually made or whether he's putting up a front.

I just hope the decision, whatever it may be, is data driven.
 
I don’t get why you guys are falling for this. Biden has been old for a while now. He’s looked old in previous interviews and speeches (and then much better in others.) And yet the entire Democratic election apparatus has lined up behind him. One debate in June is not going to make them throw everything (including the incumbency advantage) out the window.

Literal confirmation that it's being discussed. There's nothing to fall for. Doesn't mean it's likely but it sure is being discussed.

Fair enough.

It’s a huge long shot, IMO. The negatives of Biden leaving far outweigh the positives.
 
The incumbent advantage is real, but doesn't work with the competing "physically/mentally unable to do the job" narrative
 
That narrative is there regardless. And if someone replaces Biden, there will be an equally if not more damaging narrative (corrupt, black, used to be married to a horse, etc.)
