What do you mean, to clarify? When did I say anything about who I would vote for? I think they’re all shit candidates. I think if Trump wins, there will be weeks of riots here and instability and unrest for four years as they try to impeach him every single day. I think if Kamala or Newsom would win, the issues in CA would grow to become more national problems. In this current climate I’d prefer a democrat to win, not that I’d vote for any of these choices or be happy they’d win.

Don't have alot to say here, except that it's been discussed that treating each other as equals (don't see colour) as we did in the 80s/90s is also harmful. In Canada, indigenous populations have been opressed for 100+ years. They are demanding reparations - not to simply stop the name calling. DEI is a way of pulling people up, but yes, it's almost impossible to do without creating friction.

You should go back and read what I already said. You obviously got too excited to jump in and skipped some. I gave a couple of examples and don’t need to be interrogated and cross-examined by a mob that judges whether things people I know have experienced here are true or just bullshit hyperbole. You have your clear agendas and I don’t have any need or desire to spend time dancing to your tune.
 
Fwiw DEI is an organizational/corporate cheat code that offers a huge competitive advantage. Maybe it's "woke" to some but the best corporations out there use it to their benefit. And that's what it should be all about tbh.

I wouldn’t bother to vote in these elections. It’s the first election that I even could vote in because I only got my citizenship like two or three years ago. But there’s nothing I like about any of these clowns, so I’ll just forego my meaningless vote, which never matters in CA because the Dem nominee will always take the state whether you like them or not.

missing the point at least where I sit....

for me the real debate was never Biden vs Trump (we know them both very well)....it was always Biden vs Biden...specifically which one would show up: "I still got it" vs "It's over".

That's really the only reason to hold a debate in June

30 seconds in, the "it's over" Biden won

If dozens of voices close to him don't persuade him to leave, maybe his own words from from 2020 will:

“I view myself as a bridge, not as anything else. There’s an entire generation of leaders you saw standing behind me. They are the future of this country.”

yeah, i got that part. i mean his casualness re "people just want change"/"i'd prefer a democrat"/making this seem like just another election. i don't think the repercussions of another trump term are really clicking for him.

that might be true...certainly it's not clicking for a bunch of people voting for Trump solely because of lower taxes
