OT: American Politics

Yeah, if the question is the actual mechanics of it, you have to look at what you mean specifically by "democracy" and what levers he has to pull.

If we're talking about voting and the peaceful transfer of power, well we've already seen the playbook, and in fairness to Trump a bunch of it predates him.

-Continue using a compliant supreme court to block rulings stopping republican gerrymandering on the state level.

There's aleady a bag of proof (emails between the GOP participants in the plans, etc) showing that they draw these maps to ensure Republican control wherever possible.

- The ongoing attack against mail in voting

- Continued attempted usage of "alternate electors" (lol wtf) to invalidate state level results, etc.

If you look at most modern slides to authoritarianism the goal isn't to end elections, it's to warp them so that they can only provide the desired outcome without a fucking revolution.

Trump literally tried to end democracy in 2020 by staying in power after he lost. Ordering Pence not to certify the vote and the DOJ to seize voting machines. This time obviously doing these things and more will be litmus tests for everyone that works for him.

He called for the constitution to be suspended. He wanted to use the insurrection Act to jail anyone who protested.

How can there be any doubt about this?

That was only because the election was rigged

the elector certification process he sought was part of the constitution.

That’s insane, is it something about the area it’s located in?
No. It's likely because Florida construction is still through the roof and are offering 2.9-4.9 percent, likely a buy down by the builder however that's affected interest rates for resales as new home construction was outperforming resale.

Yeah I don’t get this either.
