The thing is, all of those rules, regulations, etc usually come into being because the lack of them killed people, made them sick, caused people to get scammed/taken advantage of, etc, etc, etc.

This idea that they're somehow dropped upon the people from above by unelected experts is nuts. Everything, everything is impacted by or directly voted on by elected officials in some way. If not directly (and that would be an epic clusterfuck) then indirectly by the heads of federal agencies being appointed by the President.

I wish I could help you understand science but unfortunately that is beyond the scope of what I can do on a message board.

even still, nothing to do with voters. just a doctor and his patient - they're the only ones who decide. you want to take that decision away from them, and give it to the old white men running the party you support. I want to protect your wife from those old men interfering in her healthcare, and you want her to be at their whim. sad.

And yes, that includes the transparently desperate attempts to make hay out of Biden's comment.
