OT: American Politics

This is a very convenient position to take when you're not a member of the group that was made a permanent underclass.

Also...affirmative action policies aren't "racism" regardless of you both trying to retcon the word's actual meaning.
They aren’t currently made a permanent underclass any more than any other underclass. Poor is poor. If 2 people both were born into poverty and lived their entire life in similar conditions why should we help one of them more or less based on something that happened to their ancestors before they were born?

That might seem like it would only be fair since one of their ancestors was oppressed. But it makes sure racial division persists.

What if both of their ancestors were equally oppressed? One gets preference because of race?

Get over yourself. Racism is racism. None of it will lead to an improved situation but will in fact keep racism alive so you can feel good about yourself because you’re such a good person because you care.

I think we’re all making the same mistakes we made in auditing the 2016’ loss….by looking too granularly at what did/didn’t cause her to lose.

It’s uninformed voters, it’s the economy stupid, and it’s deep rooted old timey sexism.

I just don’t think anything else comes remotely close to those three in terms of moving the needle……everything else is just moving around deck chairs on the titanic.
It’s bad policies, subjective morality and identity politics. It’s condescending attitudes toward the other side. It’s the echo chamber of silencing those who disagree with your “enlightened” positions. It’s calling anyone on the right a fascist of a Nazi.

If you were truly concerned about democracy you’d have maybe chosen a candidate who would have wiped the floor with Trump instead of a weak candidate who never won a primary. Heck maybe you’d have acknowledged your president was senile before he was anointed as your candidate.

But yeah. You’re right. Everyone who voted for Trump is racist and sexist. Good plan. Run on that platform again every time.

Bad policy, eh.

Will Dotard take credit when the benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act, the CHIPS Act, the auto sector wage settlement, student loan forgiveness and the agile handling of the supply chain shock by the Fed come into full effect?

Of course he will.

And what did Dotard do during his first term? Cut taxes for the wealthy and try to gut the ACA (which he will now do.) That’s it. Well, apart from the ridiculous soya bean duties that cranked up the price of animal feed and required an emergency subsidy to Big Agriculture.

But please, let’s hear more about woke condescension towards the working class.

Total grift.

She has the makings of a great AG, or something like that.

But she lacks vision, and that was costly.

Dotard is an intellectual and managerial tit.

But he has a vision, even if it’s dark, violent and deluded.
it was the Peter Principle, she was promoted to her level of incompetence. Good prosecuter, decent DA, meh Senator but not VP nor Presidential material

I blame Dems for having tougher skin than the Republicans…..if only we’d gotten more offended by every politician on the left being called a Pedo, or accused of stealing an election for the last four years.

According to cmon3 being triggered snowflakes won them the election.

Identity politics you mean like HB2?

Biden was not and still is not Senile. He Gaffes fr more then he used to but Trump also does that so wash.

No not Every one that voted for Trump is anything other then a person that is OK with electing an adjudged sexual offender. Also AOK with him seeking to eliminate his political opponents on his 1 Day Dictatorship.. For all the Yammering about Clinton's emails Trump did worse with National security docs. (Silence)

I can buy that. She’s a shit politician.

But whither Dotard? Multiple bankruptcies, and had to resort to sketchy DeutschBank USA to secure financing from even sketchier investors. Good politician, but an abject hammerhead when he had to, ya know, govern.

The Irish were pretty fuckin oppressed. I deserve special consideration as well.
