People acting like high amount deportations didn’t happen under Obama and Biden (part of the reason for the Hispanic vote falling th way it did ).

The problem is that the Dems are and have become a party run by filled with and representing the elites of america and their infantaized fetizhized extremities of leftism. Bernie was an anti establishment populist who would have trounced Turnip but the Dems failed to read the populist room an instead clung to power.

I meant that that the alarming part is the pain that he'll inflict upon poor human beings.

The podcast title made it sound like that the fact that he may do this is the alarming part not the actual action. ( Listening to the actual pod now)

To me from that perspective this is not a surprise. Trump said he'll inflict pain, he'll throw illegal and legal immigrants out, he'll prosecute those not loyal to him etc

He said it over and over again. He clearly has the mandate.

Today, the US is 48th in the world for life expectancy, and 57th in infant mortality.

I suspect that this will change, and not for the better, in 2025.

On the plus side, if you're really rich today, you will be really really richer tomorrow.
