OT: American Politics

This is going to result in the Deck civilization of much of the world that developed under the American security blanket and the global order it allowed. The urbanization, the industrialization and depopulation of large swaps of the world where child mortality rates have gone down and life expectancies have increased.

pretty sure I agree with you here but am not completely sure since I think there is a typo in your first sentence!
 
I mean we can screech about voters being uninformed or misinformed. but at the end of the day they still vote, and their votes matter, so it's imperative to find ways to either correctly inform or otherwise reach these voters. Dems obviously failed at that.

We can only hope that the damage from the fallout is minimal. I certainly pity the homeless.

Again, these people just don't get it. Once Trump becomes a dictator, he can simply rescind anything and everything that previous Presidents enacted. So go ahead and codify Roe. Trump will un-codify it on January 20th 5 minutes after being sworn in.

People need to wrap their heads around the fact that they are no longer living in a democracy. The maneuvers you could make today will not hold and will not be respected. They will be brushed aside.

I am quite sure that the people who wrote Project 2025 have their own version of what, in Nazi Germany, was called the Enabling Act. No dictatorship should be without one.
