OT: American Politics

Except that it's too late for them to do anything about it.

And never mind a Christmas bonus. The factories will not be closing for Christmas. Say goodbye to statutory holidays or paid vacations of any kind. You now live in a dictatorship run by corporate oligarchs like Musk who think that sleep is for the weak.

You're going to work harder for less money than you've ever worked before. And if you cant work for any reason, you're shit out of luck because government programs like unemployment insurance, disability and welfare are all going bye-bye.

What a shock it will be when the pain isn't just for the other guy anymore.

It's you.

I work for a manufacturing company and have worked for others. There's always downtime in December for annual maintenance and upgrades.

Our customer demand has been weak all year and continues to be due to economic conditions.
do you know what percentage of your supplies are produced in the US vs imported from abroad?

So You're saying that a company would not pre-buy stuff before their costs would go up 10-15% Note I'm not saying the situation happened but I definitely can see a company doing such.

I actually do analysis on and work on our data quality. This is a good question for some of the stuff I've made.

Working on a BOM tool now to see this type of analysis but we can't see it easily today. It would take a week or two to gather.
