Border security position - lax
Abortion is constitutional right
Biological men should be allowed to compete in women’s sports.

There’s no woe is me crusade. But tell me why I should continue to participate in a discussion with you/on this board if every post I send results in name calling? That’s juvenile. And honestly undermines your group perception that you guys on the left are so much smarter than us “country redneck dumbfucks”.
Now I want to try and quickly (lol) reply to these other points. Abortion is absolutely a right. I understand many countries do have limits of around 16 weeks. I just don't see the point in these ridiculous 6 or 12 week bans, one of the main conservative issues over the last few decades (and I might add one of the few they were right about) is the need to keep government away from regulating people's personal decisions when it isn't necessary to do so. Abortion should be between the mother, father and doctor. The government should not be in your bedroom monitoring what 2 consenting adults are doing, forcing birth, saying you can't marry the person you've fallen in love with, etc. It is immoral and not what the government is there for. It's insane that the party of "personal responsibility" has done a complete 180 on this. #SAD!
Pro-choice allows every person to make decisions about their own body and how they plan to live over the next 18 years. Without getting into a much longer paragraph, women are dying unnecessarily due to the removal of Roe vs. Wade. Which by the way was described as "settled law" by a couple of people who lied under oath in order to get onto the Supreme Court. Maybe you can explain why we have hearings for something as important as becoming a member of the Supreme Court, if the person is just allowed to lie their way through the hearing?
This decision is also leading to doctors refusing to work in red states, because they aren't particularly interested in going to jail for helping to save a woman's life. This situation will only get worse and worse affecting all aspects of medical treatments in red states in the coming years.
Student loans is pretty simple. Students were told that loans help them get through college or university, which will lead to a high-paying job that will enable them to pay them back. This did not happen for many people, who are stuck with massive debt that will take a decade or more to pay off, in addition to facing the extremely difficult process of buying a home, which is already almost impossible. I don't really understand why you would be against this, it's just good policy IMO.
As for biological men not playing women's sports, I agree. Surprised? Okay, now do you understand how much of a nothingburger this actually is? Read the quote below. This is virtually a non-issue, which has been blown ten million times out of proportion by the constant, CONSTANT hate-filled rhetoric of the right, demonizing trans people every day, all day, people who are already going through the ringer of an extremely difficult decision. All we are really saying is stop harassing these people with so much hate, show a little compassion and if it really bothers you that much, just ignore it. What someone does with their own body (see above) is their own business.
But as for the sports issue itself, you have been lied to by the right-wing propaganda machine yet again. Do you remember a tweet someone posted a day or two ago, where some people thought trans was 21% of the population, when in reality it's less than 1%? There have always been trans people, in ancient Greece, in Nazi Germany, I remember stories about Led Zeppelin getting blow jobs from some trannies in the early 1970s. Please ask yourself why you care so much about this tiny group of people?
The transgender population is again under fire from the GOP for participating in women's sports.
www.newsweek.com
"Of the estimated 332 million citizens living in the United States, 1.3 million adults and 300,000 youth ages 13 to 17 identify as transgender, equaling half a percent and 1.4 percent of the population respectively, according to a
report published by Williams Institute, a think tank at UCLA's Law School in 2022.
Not all transgender people identify as women, and an even smaller number consists of transgender women hoping to compete in girls' and women's sports.
Privacy laws make it tough to identify the exact number of transgender athletes competing in public school sports, but
researcher and medical physicist Joanna Harper estimates the number can't exceed 100 nationwide.
"While we don't know the exact number of trans women competing in NCAA sports, I would be very surprised if there were more than 100 of them in the women's category," Harper told
Newsweek.
One hundred transgender athletes would comprise an incredibly small number of the U.S. population, and the number dwindles even further when it comes to middle school and high school athletes."
Gillian Branstetter, a spokesperson for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) said the number of transgender athletes isn't comprehensive, but she's also certain it's a very small portion of the nation's population. Branstetter told
Newsweek that
Save Women's Sports, an organization advocating for banning transgender athletes from competing in girls' sports, identified only five transgender athletes competing on girls' teams in school sports for grades K through 12.
