Look, I think the Biden Administration made a mistake on immigration and too many people came into the country the last few years. There are reasons for this, some legit, some not. I also think there is a lot of gaslighting on this issue from the right, because many people came in during previous administrations too, including Trump.
It is simply a fact that a lot of illegal immigrants are there doing jobs that most Americans don't want to do. This applies to many other countries too, including Canada. The vast majority are normal people like anyone else. Of course there is a big uproar any time a crime is committed, but the right made a huge deal a few months ago blaming Biden for a document showing a large # of immigrants who had committed crimes, but when people looked into the numbers, it was an all-time list, including a lot of people who came into the US betwen 2016-2020.
This shouldn't be controversial to say, yes arrest and deport illegal immigrants who have committed serious crimes. Of course if someone stole a loaf of bread to feed their family, maybe treat them like any US citizen who would do that.
And I would like your opinion on trying to deport people who were born in the US. Seriously, please think about this logically. Imagine you're a young person born in the United States, grew up in this culture, and have never lived in or even visited any other country. Maybe your parents came in illegally, but you were not even fucking born yet. Why should you be punished for that? Let's say this applied to you, Cmon. Where the fuck should you even be deported to? You have never even been in another country! You were born in the USA and are therefore an American citizen, 100%, full stop, no exceptions. Anybody who advocates for this evil is sick in the brain and should never be in any position of power ever again in their lives.
Trump's wall was a joke, we have seen videos of people climbing over or through the tiny portions of that wall in 30 seconds, most people just walk around it, and a huge chunk of the money provided by Trump's suckers fanboys was stolen by Steve Bannon and other Trump associates before it even got to the people doing the "building" (seriously, look it up).
Bottom line is that this is a problem, get a bipartisan group together to write a bill to try and fix it. Oh wait they did do that in the spring, but Trump had it kiboshed because it might be bad for him politically. Figure out the best way to handle this, but deporting 12 million people is IMO as sick and depraved idea. It is immoral, will result in massive suffering, will lead to camps, and could lead to a massive recession because many of these jobs are low-paying hard work but essential for the economy.
