Even if I disagree with you on many things, I have no desire to see you leave.

I also don’t think you’re owed any apology though. Pick any small country with a much larger, more powerful neighbour and try telling a group of people from that country how great it’d be if they unified with their larger neighbour, and see what kind of friendly reception you get.

Anyway, if you come back, that’d be great and you’d be welcome. If not, then all the best to you going forward, truly.

come on man, I don't know why you feel so much guilt about posting on a fan forum. Yes this place does love to pile on, and sure there were a couple of insults posted, but so what? Was anything said really that bad?

Surely you can understand why we're a little sensitive about a madman threatening to annex our country for weeks now. One time maybe it's a joke, but he keeps doing it and it isn't fucking funny.

You are a good poster, and definitely provide a useful perspective that makes it a better place. There's nothing wrong with posting on a message board, or disagreeing with others from time to time. Hopefully you reconsider.

Buddy, the president of the most powerful country in the world is threatening to ruin our economy until we give in and let them annex us. You thought that would be a good time to let us know travel over the border without having to stop to show your passport would be super convenient for you. Then you get pissed when people don’t have time for it. This shit isn’t really a joke to us right now.

Just admit you misread the room. No need to bail.
 
and yeah...I'm not apologizing for shit, nor do I feel that anything I said was remotely out of line. My wife is a Canadian citizen born in Mexico. I was more patient than the line of conversation deserved given the personal stakes involved.

A pile on. Like I said. Not every post is some serious opinion piece. Some just spout off all kinds of nonsense on here. This thread is literally a minefield if you bat an eye the wrong way. The dude did back pedal...which isn't always easy for some to do...the back comes up and he dug in. A pile on is what ensued. Not criticising you for it.
 
Yep pretty sure everyone knows the rules. Doesn't change my point that people love to pile on. Nothing wrong with it I guess. LOF doesn't have the towering strength of a KB or whatshisface, though. So we may need a mercy rule for the occasional brain fart.
