Remember, all of the bad shit about to happen hasn't shown up in the numbers the Atlanta Fed is using for their projection and we're already into the same type of total GDP drop as the 08 collapse brought over 18 months. They're going to crush that, we're maybe not to the point where we start comparing what's about to happen to the Great Depression(-30% GDP fffffffs), but we've gotta be taking a sidelong peek at those pages in our books and grimacing a bit about it even being a possibility.

I’m leaning more and more towards the opinion that Zelensky went into that meeting with Trump and Vance strongly suspecting what an absolute shit-show it’d turn out to be.
But he still went ahead because he needed Trump to go fully mask-off in order to wake up NATO and Europe to the fact that Trump is now a flat-out ally of Putin and a geopolitical foe to the democratic world.
A wake-up call that was badly needed after the shameful Trump dick-sucking session that was Keir Starmer’s visit to the White House.

Possible. It’s a coin flip IMO. Markets have a dim view of Trump 2.0 so it wouldn’t take much for him to exceed an extremely low bar

Seems like it almost ends up being a choice between tankie loons like Jeremy Corbyn, or spineless do-nothings like Starmer or Jagmeet. With not a whole lot of choice in between.

Our only choice ends up being corporatist lite parties like our Liberals, the Democrats, etc. being run by neoliberals with a smile who will make the right noises with their mouths and even implement a couple of policies unpopular with the wealthy, but pretty status quo on everything else.
