Anyone have polls re: breakdown of support for gun control by age?

Doesn't matter. Hillary beat Trump by 5 million votes and he still got to be President instead of her. And between voter suppression and gerrymandering any plurality on support for gun control will be negated. The US is well on its way to minority rule, if it isn't there already. They have 6 seats on the Supreme Court which will ensure that what a majority of what people want or don't want will never matter. It's about what Mitch McConnell wants or doesn't want. It's about what Mitch McConnell's corporate donors want or don't want.

"The people" can go fuck themselves. They no longer matter.

In a way you can't blame politicians for being shameless money-grubbers. That is the way the system is set up: to make politicians beholden to special interest donors. You simply can't get elected without a shit-ton of money. Look at just about any election and the candidate who spends the greater amount of money than their opponent usually comes out on top. And because the US has elections of one sort or another every 2 years, it means that most of a Member of Congress' time and energy is spent on fundraising rather than governing. They talk about election cycles but it's really not. It is a perpetual, never ending cycle. Five minutes after you win a seat in Congress you have to start fundraising in order to keep it when the next election comes.

And that's just for the small minority of scrupulous Congress members. Once you get into the cesspit with people like Cruz it's just a non-stop grift. All he really does is take money from special interest groups and then do what they tell him to do and vote the way they tell him to vote.
