I'm gonna #PressMyLuck and hope that NACI changes recommendations towards a full Moderna shot for the boost before I book my appointment.

We had the option of pfizer or derna and went pfizer because I didn't want to have to get a 2nd booster of derna if the change to a full shot

No special eligibility this time but my second shot was in May so not sure if they take that into account.

In the summer when I signed up for waiting lists I got in before people who signed up weeks earlier than me (some of which who never got a call at all). A lot of times there's no rhyme or reason to it so I wouldn't necessarily bank on it.

I signed by almost 70 year old mother for Rexall at the same time as me and they haven't offered her an appointment yet, only me, so not sure if it's because I got my second shot fairly early through work or what.

She got an appointment through the portal instead.

just talked to them and yeah you have to re-join the list for #3 shots. its not automatic.

I would go pfizer, simply in the event they change the doseage and having to possibly get an additional shot in short order

For effectiveness I don't think there's much difference between half Derna and full Pfizer. Certainly not as much of a difference between full Derna vs full Pfizer.

Just get whatever. There's no consensus right now and differences are likely fairly negligible.

Moderna is a low dose now, it may change soon. Do you really want to be getting 2 half doses.
