OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

I have to go to a wedding at the end of March. I'm just gonna assume I'll be infected, right? Doesn't matter if I eat my way out of fitting in the suit?

This wedding is 2 years late. They already have a kid and moved on with the whole honeymoon phase thing. I'd say cancel it but an Italian wedding is a big investment with a decent ROI so they're in a tough spot with all that money sunk in.

I missed the whole ROI bit on my mexican wedding...dafuq was I thinking?

Had a wedding reception dec 18th, indoors, 135 people. Wasn't a super spreader event. 2 people tested positive 2 days after which suggests they were already infected but not contagious.

You will be fine

Pre-ish omicron though! But fair, wave should be dying down by then, although I wouldn't count out a second leg to the upside. We shall see.

The bonus is that a good percentage of guests were supposed to come from the US. I doubt many show up. Hopefully it's a small reception.

I was supposed to go to a destination wedding in Mexico in February, and they ended up cancelling since they figured people weren't going to travel. It's gotta be so hard to plan anything these days - what was looking like a nice destination with few cases back in November/December now obviously is not possible.

How have they treated you so far?

I mean besides being assholes all the time, any personal interactions?

(I know people in Ottawa, might be able to walk by your place...just saying)

I’ve had no problems but I don’t acknowledge them in any way and I use the “old lady” resigned look.
My daughter though has on her way to work had to put up with calls to take of “that f…n mask.” She just ignore them and keeps moving.
