Fuck yeahThe closest thing I get to hollandaise is my kickass carbonara but even then I dont have any butter or cream in there.

Avgolemono
A classic Greek soup that's thickened with eggs and spiked with lemon. Add some shredded rotisserie chicken and call it a meal.www.epicurious.com
Carnonara is disgusting. I mean it was good to cover up routing meat smell but no reason for it today.

It's easy and really awesome when you're under the weather. Throw some chicken in for extra protein and you're good to go. The egg makes it heartier.I've made a similar soup, essentially a lemon-dill chicken soup with orzo. Didn't use eggs though. Should try it out.
Shhhwhut? it covers up spaghetti
I hope you use guanciale instead of pancetta
LeaveI will go to my death bed believing guanciale is overrated.
Eggs pancetta garlic (fried) parmesan pepper parsley AND NOTHING ELSE.
Trust me.
Hahahahaha okay yeah, that shit is on another level. British food in particular.. Yeesh. I guess I'm just comparing it to the very very top tier of cuisine. I hold Italian food in a high regard but it's bland next to many cuisines around the world. Doesn't make it bad though. The beauty lies in it's simplicity which makes it all the more comforting in the end.If we're talking bland food, there are definitely wayyyy better candidates for that label than Italy.
Newfie grandparents on one side, British grandparents on the other...
There are very few things that Romans do correctly compared to others cuisine-wise. Carbonara is one of them.i do it the roman way — guanciale vs pancetta, romano vs parm. Bolder taste profile

My wife grew up with black pepper, salt and ketchup as the only seasoning. No wonder she left home at 18.If we're talking bland food, there are definitely wayyyy better candidates for that label than Italy.
