OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

I bring wipes with me to the grocery store. I wipe everything before and after using in case the person before me has it or I do and am just asymptomatic. Ditto for the debit machine. Wipe the outside of everything I buy and my phone which I tend to pull out while I'm shopping or out. Then thorough handwashing.

Maybe sounds a bit paranoid but that's ok. Still don't have any masks unfortunately.

a few weeks ago some place didnt have tap on the debit machine
like wtf

unless you are leaving your food outside for three days after getting it delivered it is probably safer to order from a restaurant

I go to the grocery stores once a week. So definitely a risk leaving the house and encountering others, but I'm not worried about the food itself since I'm cooking everything. I haven't even seen any reports (including tweets from zeke) that suggests the droplets can survive roasting, blanching, frying etc

😮. You have wipes?? I haven’t seen those in stores for more than a month.

Why do you presume this is?

I’d like to believe it’s because the projections aren’t horrifyingly bad, but they don’t want to give people a false sense of security and have them start easing up on isolation & physical distancing.

That seems unlikely, though.

I have lots of wipes. But cannot find gloves/masks anywhere. And I just used my last pair of gloves

more on the packaging and transferring it into your house

but yes with a restaurant you could have somebody transfer it to your already cooked food
