OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

My friend has a 10 year old whose runny nose has created several islands of Kleenex for days.....tested negative all week

Testing a 2 year old is a nightmare and I'm not keen on doing it again; tried it once or twice and that's gonna be it for me. Treatment will be the same no matter what it is. I'm only assuming covid because

1. the symptoms line up perfectly. don't think allergies would produce a ~104 fever, for example
2. we were exposed to someone who was positive last week

When Mrs. Preston and I become symptomatic we'll test, but it seems the writing is on the wall.

yes

I spent a day in Bowmanville and was stuffed up/watery beyond repair. Cleared up as soon as got back to my urban dwelling
Last spring I was a little more panic-y, kind of forgot about allergies and things were more dire a year ago.

Now I just take a reactine every day.

Question for you covid experts

My buddy was in close contact with 4 co-workers who got covid after testing positive today

He has no idea if they had symptoms but all 4 have flu like symptoms and are home

He is asymptomatic but will go for testing tomorrow

He has a family function to attend this weekend with about 100 in attendance

Does he have to isolate , test negative for X number of days , etc..

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

I think it would be absolutely insane to go.

Had to do a quick trip to the hospital for the kiddo. The breathing was getting a little... Difficult. Wheezing and some real struggles and often choking on his postnasal drip too. If it's covid it would make sense since omicron is rough on the upper respiratory tract. I'm sure the parents here know that sometimes kids little airways have problems dealing with all sorts of respiratory infections in a similar way. Figured he'd need a steroid to help him out the next few nights and that's what they gave him in the end so hopefully it helps. Did a chest x-ray as well, all clear + a covid pcr test so I guess I'll find out after all.
