OT: Movies/TV Shows

Where did you see any of that saving Jack stuff? He didn't say it in this episode and I looked back on the original scenes of Jack's death and he didn't mention anything at all (there was no kid subplot then). I literally don't think he said anything about saving, or not being there - do you actually have one line you can point to? I'm not asking rhetorically, but curious if you actually heard something I didn't.
I'm going to have to go back to get the exact words but off the top of my head, when he was told that Jack died he was shocked and said multiple times that he was saving the kid. I'll report back.

Oh and motherfucker which one of us says shit like "I really don't want to get into a fight today " at a hockey game eh there sanguinet? Give your balls a tug.🙂
Cause I don't need to prove my manhood and don't care if I look like a "pussy" for watching This Is Us or not fighting.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter to the storyline. Bottom line was that the inclusion of that kids story very much fit in. He almost died at the same time, in the same hospital as Jack and Jack passed on a family motto that was pertinent to exactly what happened that day in that hospital. Then later when the kid's cancer research went tits up but he "made something resembling lemonade" by using that research for a major breakthrough with Alzheimer's.
As for this last part, yes, I agree. Issue here is simply whether Jack died "because" the doctor wasn't there. The inclusion of the black family's story felt like something they could've done in a previous episode/season. In that episode, where they're dealing with their mom, I'd have liked to see more about the core family. I was really surprised, I don't think Kevin had even 5 lines of dialogue that whole episode. They didn't give us one word of the speeches they gave at the funeral. I felt a little robbed of some final teary moments that could've been great.

I didn't really think the inclusion of the other family was something we needed to see in basically the final episode (and I found it annoying it wasn't even clear who they were and that they made us believe it was Deja's guy or something - no desire to be mislead into some subplot not involving anyone directly, even though that was the point they were trying to drill home, to step back, see everything is connected, etc.).

Hmm. He was definitely shocked, but I don't think he said it once - check it out and report back.

To be clear, yes, he said he was up there saving the kid, everyone knew that, but there was no talk of him thinking he could've saved Jack. The whole thing was that he was shocked anything happened to Jack, that he died instantly a minute after he left despite not showing any signs of a problem when he examined him.

I don't get it. If you have any members in your family that you like, you can relate to and should like This Is Us.

If you've had the misfortune of not having a close relationship with anyone in your nuclear family, I could see why it might be for gaylords like Star Wars is.

Okay... Maybe This Is Us is gay. After talking about it, I'm getting this ad.

I don't know why you guys just don't go straight to gay porn if you're gonna start watching gay television programs. I'm surprised with LOF in particular since he's an all or nothing guy. Stop toeing the line, folks. Plus I'd much prefer reading debates about male anatomy. It somehow seems less gay than this.

I'll tow your ass to a tv and make you watch something good for once.

If you can't like This Is Us, you have no soul. I mean, even zeke likes it.
