OT: Movies/TV Shows

That's so insanely wrong. He has never once done the same thing in any movie he's ever done.

It doesn't even make sense - you couldn't get more different than the characters he's played in Leaning Las Vegas to Adaptation to Peggy Sue Got Married to The Rock to Raising Arizona to Into the Spiderverse to Kick Ass to Valley Girls to Moonstruck to Lord of War to The Family Man to PIG to City of Angels to Con Air to National Treasure to Next to Matchstick Men to Massive Talent.
He even managed to get a small part in "Fast Times At Ridgemont High"!:

Ahsoka ended up being the worst Star Wars show so far. I know there were a few WOT fans on here, how do you feel about the second season so far? I still have a lot of issues with it but it has been better than the first season.

I haven't watched the last weeks episode, but I was enjoying it so far for the most part. Rosario Dawson is an excellent Ahsoka imo.

The production value has improved thankfully, but the writing is still really terrible and it's so far deviated from the books that it's not even really WOT at this point. Core characters are almost entirely unrecognizable. It's basically a fan fic with an 80 million dollar a season budget.

I'm trying to be open minded since this most likely the only interpretation we ever get. The Moiraine and Lan stuff has been really bad - basically anywhere they deviate too far from the books has been very amateur and crap. It's disappointing but my Wife who isn't a book reader is enjoying it and there are a few moments I've enjoyed when I just let go that it'll never be as good as the books,

I barely know where to start man. They've gutted the core of what made Lan & Mat the characters they were in the books. They insist on injecting mystery into Moiraine's motivations and it's backstory when the books leave it clear who and what she is by very early in book one. Rand is beating the shit out of people in back allies because that's the best way he could figure out how to speak to a character who is only important at this point of the story because they've retconned the magic system and don't want to explain how Rand is capable of his early series feats the same way the book does...because they're better than RJ. Mat and Perrin are basically side characters while 2 aes sedai that easily could have been written out of the show entirely if we were looking to condense, get given well outsized roles for their importance to the story (and frankly, Alanna's screen time increase is likely due to her warder being the showrunner's boyfriend).

I gave it a 2nd shot after an abortion of a 1st season, but there's just too much fan fiction in here and not enough adaptation. Finale is tonight and unless it's mind blowing and brings the series into something resembling the direction of the books, I'm out.

Watched the much-derided uber-gay-subtext Nightmare on Elm Street 2 last night for the first time since I was a kid, and I gotta say the movie is a bit of a mess but freddy himself might be at his actual scariest, and now i remember the closing sequence was maybe the scariest part of any Freddy movie i've ever seen.
