OT: Movies/TV Shows

I'm getting tired of shows disappearing for eons and then coming back with the next season.

House of the Dragon for one, it's like what will I ever remember when that starts up again. And the season after will be when, like 2027 or 2028?

Completely agree.

Westworld fell victim to this for me ( that and anything post season 1, appears to be trash anyways) and honestly, i tried getting into season 2 of Loki and it made me realize i needed to watch season 1 again, and i refuse.

That show was trash after S1, which was excellent. It basically fell off a cliff after. S2 dragged and couldn't keep up the tempo. After that it was unwatchable.

I was very down with the Western setting in season 1, i could get past some of the convoluted who is a robot, who isnt shit.....then 3 years later its a weird sci fi thing with Aaron Paul

No Mas.

Westworld was a great book and great movie and great one season.....and then the showrunners had to try to write their own story.

.and then the showrunners had to try to write their own story.

this is an epidemic for some reason. Legacy IP with well loved stories that simply having to be adapted to screen getting torn apart and rewritten by hack writers with nothing of note on their credits.

I used to love Colbert on the Colbert Report. He was one of the funniest, most charismatic guys ever. Since he took over Letterman, I don't even know who this guy is. He's a shadow of his former self, and rarely makes me crack a smile, whereas before I was laughing out loud routinely. I thought he was going to be a monster at late night, but he really just sucks.

And I've never found Stewart all that particularly funny. Since seeing that he's one of those self-hating jew types, I like him even less.

That's because the late night talk show format is no longer relevant. It was a safe, high paying gig for Colbert that clipped his wings. Was really sad to see him take that. What a waste. Tough to turn down the money though.

Stewart on the Daily Show was awesome though. We'll see if he can recapture the magic.
