OT: Movies/TV Shows

nah the arrogant schtick is standard for the guy getting roasted.

Shatner did it perfectly.
He was worse than arrogant though. Like I said, I don't even know how to describe it.

Almost like he was a grown man talking like a spoiled rotten teenager swearing at his parents after they refuse to buy him a Ferrari. I can't put my finger on it. Just terrible.

Like, im almost 100% sure it was a bit, you can hate the bit though. The fact you do suggests he did it well.

Fuck, im defending Tom Brady. Fuck you LOF

Yeah it’s definitely a very stupid movie….like Ray though, I enjoyed the ride for some dumb reason.

It had just enough nostalgia, and a splash of Pee Wee’s Playhouse type surrealism, to keep me watching.

It was a weirdly enjoyable 3/10.
I would only watch it because I miss being able to buy unfrosted Pop Tarts. The frosted ones are gross.

Yeah they’re all comedians that had middling nothing careers prior to being amplified by Rogan as regulars on his podcast….

….and seriously Joe Rogan is like comedically challenged. Whatever part of the brain it is that gives one comedy timing & wit…he’s completely devoid of it.

He’ll have real comedians go on there and try to riff with him in real time (like any of us do with buddies, but comedians are especially known for)…..and he doesn’t even catch that it’s going on. It’s kinda riveting, given how bizarre it is.
If you want to see two good comics riffing off each other go and find that Bill Burr podcast where he has Jon Lovitz on as a guest. A good, non-stop 15 minutes of back and forth ball-busting. Hilarious.

I know it was more than what he probably is, but it was still a terrible bit. That gives you cause to hate him more.

A true shame she must say yes to things lik Fuck Boy island.

Her set, in the Brady roast was pretty close to as top tier as it gets. The only ones i think are better are Patrice O'Neale on Charlie Sheen, basically most of Greg Giraldo's sets, and Anthony Jeselnik
Greg Giraldo on Hasselhoff was amazing.

Yeah, it is ok... it is good. I like the detective-noir vibes. Love the noir voice over, and it is shot real well.

I knew there would be a twist as ALL the reviews had said there was a twist coming. So I started looking for one, and by the second episode I was like, "Is he? Could he be?" and I was right. It could be very interesting if done right, or very bad if done poorly.

Spoiler:

A little too Resident Alien meet Fringe for me, but I also just saw 3 Body Problem
That's the issue with "A Twist". If you know there's one you look for it and have a much better chance of figuring it-out.
I was lucky to see Sixth Sense opening night and knew nothing about a twist and was fooled. A lot of people. who figured it-out had read about a twist and was looking.
