OT: NFL thread

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

Romo wins another meaningless game and had three incompletions. Of course if he had lost to the Bills, it would have been another big game he didn't win

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

it just goes to show when you're up against a secondary that can make Sanchez look like a star, even greater things can happen.

Romo>>>>>>Sanchez

he's that good

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

The Niners won a great fight against the Giants. 8-1. Pretty obvious Harbaugh had the biggest impact on this team!

Louis that is the attitude that I refer to all the time. Any other QB goes 23-26 and he is lauded, with Romo (amazing though how in last two games he has been good after no longer needing shots for his broken rib) it's look who he was up against. Do you believe you would have written the same thing about Rodgers if he had that kind of day against the Bills?

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

I wouldn't have written that about Rodgers because he's made many secondaries look like Buffalo's did yesterday. Look, I think he's better than Sanchez and I meant it. Imo, a lot of credit should go to Dallas' defense for shutting down what's been a pretty good offense, that's actually kept the Bills in business for the first half of this season.

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

Tebow brings a new offensive philosophy to the NFL, throw very little, don't complete alot of passes and win the game. He is making it difficult from Elway to cut him at the end of the season if he keeps on winning, the fans won't stand for it. Curious to see what Rex Ryan and the Jets have in store for Tebow. The Colts are doing their best to be worst and may resort to sitting Peyton at the end of the season even if he is cleared to play. Colts fan may need to get use to the idea of seeing Manning in another team's uniform. The pieces got for Peyton and Luck could restart the rebuild in Indy really quickly.

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

Tebow is interesting, can't throw worth crap but he is winning. Maybe he will develop a cult following like the Mullet did.

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

You're gonna win some football games when you control the ground like Denver has of late. They've been good for about 1100 yds rushing in their last 5 outings I believe. And Tebow thru the air yesterday, 0 yards in the first half and a whopping 60plus yds in the 2nd half.

I'd be tempted to keep him, especially if you can find a way to coax a 150 odd yds in the air out of him.

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

here's a good explanation of how Tebow is doing it right now.

Is Tim Tebow’s Afraid-To-Throw Broncos Offense Crazy Enough To Work?

There's another advantage to forcing the defense to account for quarterback reads. Aaron Rodgers stretches the field vertically by distributing the ball to a bunch of receivers. Tebow stretches the field horizontally, forcing defenders to cover from sideline to sideline by distributing the ball to a number of ball carriers, screen receivers, and pitch men.

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

Don't get wrong, I'm delighted the Jets lost.

But I wonder have Tebow would do against a big time D, like the Ravens? No so good, I suspect.

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

I just hated his post game radio interviews, he thanked his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at least three times even though last time I checked the Nazarene had nothing to do with the win.
