OT: NFL thread

Cannon is done for sure - he was crap all season. Vollmer had the worst day possible yesterday, but he was OK this season. He might get the axe too, but not as straightforward.

From the same article:

The nine-year veteran has played 165 games with 11,619 yards receiving and 83 TDs. Johnson has played in two playoff games in his career.

Johnson is widely considered sure bet to enter to the Pro Football Hall of Fame once he becomes eligible. He owns the NFL record for receiving yards in a season, with 1,964 in the 2012 season. He sits second in NFL history with an average of 86.1 receiving yards per game.

What a damn shame. The Lions are idiots.

Sanders (and Megatron) left the game while they were still somewhat healthy.

Megatron knows he cannot continue like this with his broken down body. Might as well quit and ensure a nice healthy life.....

Now confirmed that Ken Stabler had CTE.

It seems that every active and former player, including those who played regularly in the NCAA, should be fearful.

Even some high school players. You don't need to be knocked out to get a concussion. The very nature of the game of football guarantees concussions will occur. There is contact involving the head on every single play.

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

Alright boys....

Predictions ???

I say Panthers win....but i'd like Peyton Manning to win another Superbowl before retiring.

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

Denver D is pretty tough. I think Panthers but in a tight game.

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

This will be Peyton's last chance to salvage his legacy. If he wins he's golden. If he loses he's forever known as the guy who couldn't win when it counted most.

I think the Panthers take it, when all is said and done.

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

One game, any give Sunday. I have no idea.

But I wish the Broncos to be a smouldering wreckage by the end of the 3rd, with hillbilly glumly watching the last quarter of his career tick away in total humiliation.

Too bad i am not really a football fan, Bay area, specially close to SF has been crazy in last couple weeks, specially last week because of Superbowl.

You going to wear your hoodie to watch the game?

Well except for the one time he did win.

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

I'm going with the Panthers on this one, best offensive line I've seen this year, they will give the Broncos defense a run for their money, plus their defense is almost as good as Denver and their offense is much better, more balanced. Denver will need more than a mistake free Manning to win, they will need him at the top of his game.
