Cannon is done for sure - he was crap all season. Vollmer had the worst day possible yesterday, but he was OK this season. He might get the axe too, but not as straightforward.
The nine-year veteran has played 165 games with 11,619 yards receiving and 83 TDs. Johnson has played in two playoff games in his career.
Johnson is widely considered sure bet to enter to the Pro Football Hall of Fame once he becomes eligible. He owns the NFL record for receiving yards in a season, with 1,964 in the 2012 season. He sits second in NFL history with an average of 86.1 receiving yards per game.
Didn't he also make something like $113M in his career?
I think I'd call it quits too.
$113 million plus playing for a hopeless/hapless team, and no major injuries to date = retirement is a good choice.
that is only half what you have earned and yet you still are working,,,
Now confirmed that Ken Stabler had CTE.
It seems that every active and former player, including those who played regularly in the NCAA, should be fearful.
One game, any give Sunday. I have no idea.
But I wish the Broncos to be a smouldering wreckage by the end of the 3rd, with hillbilly glumly watching the last quarter of his career tick away in total humiliation.
Well except for the one time he did win. This will be Peyton's last chance to salvage his legacy. If he wins he's golden. If he loses he's forever known as the guy who couldn't win when it counted most.
I think the Panthers take it, when all is said and done.
