OT: NFL thread

Yes, but to use your BFF Count's best comeback: "when was the last time Eagles won a championship"

This draft reminds me of the Vince Young-Matt Leinart-Jack Cutler draft.

Paxton Lynch will probably end up being the best QB...and he got taken later, and by the Broncos. Just like Cutler...

Here's my best Wehavian comment: Dolphins are still the only team to ''win-out''

(even if it was a century ago)

Drafting a running back in the first round, especially in the top ten, is like the Habs using their pick this year on a fourth liner or fifth defenceman. Running backs are a dime a dozen. The NCAA is lousy with black guys who can run fast. It was a wasted pick but one that speaks to the Cowboys lack of faith in Romo's passing ability.

A very under the radar pick : DeForest Buckner by San Fran.......

Cowboys just felt like they wanted to give Romo more weapons....

More like lack of faith in our defence. Hell even the DC said take Zeke in order to keep the D off the field.

Cowboys one year ago.

DeMarco costs too much money. You dont need a franchise back, anyone can run behind our offensive line.

Cowboys today

We need to use our highest draft pick in 35 years on a running back. We also have Darren McFadden who got 1000 yards last year, and spent money in Free Agency on Alfred Morris.

that was a bad bad pick with ramsey available.

I think they made their choice before seeing the chargers go off the board, and then did not adjust.

As is typical, the haters are out in full force but they will hate no matter what.

I would have preferred Ramsey in the first and Henry in the 2nd but hard to pass up Zeke. It will be like the 3rd or 4th team overall next year passing on Leonard Fournette.

Using the signing of Alfred Morris as a rip on taking Zeke is hilarious given he had a bad year last year (and iirc people laughed when he was signed) and was signed only as insurance for McFadden who will be 29, who last year was healthy for the first time in forever.

We had 3 RBs last year and by about the fifth week of the season were down solely to McFadden.

This year we actually have a RB who might get us the 3rd and 1 to keep the bad D off the field.

What is interesting is that the experts here are ripping on the choice but the experts who actually know what they are talking about are not. While they might question a RB that high, they cannot question we got arguably the best player in the draft.
