OT: NFL thread

And I would much rather Eagles pay him 17 million as a backup.

Chipper signed Murray Maxwell and you got rid of them and now Bradford. Things working out for Iggles

Iggles already paid Sam his $11 million signing bonus, so the Vikings are only responsible for his $7 million base salary this season.

Next March, Bradford is due a $4 million roster bonus on the fifth day of the league year. His full salary for 2017 is $13 million, but only $4 million is fully guaranteed so Vikes can cut bait with not too much cap damage.

Which the Eagles could have also done had they not traded him. I don't think his contract is/would have been a big issue for either team now and in the future.

The real issue is whether he's worth s first round pick at this stage, or whether the difference between Hill and him us big enough to warrant giving up a first rounder. We'll find out soon enough.

Like I said, Vikes were desperate buyers. The current regime is normally very stingy all of their draft picks... they also have drafted very well recently. Many think they got 2 first round talents this past offseason (Treadwell at 23, Alexander at 54) so the loss of a 1st rounder next year should not be devastating --- certainly not as bad as losing Teddy a few days ago.

Oh it isn't as bad for you but I don't worry about Vikings as you are in a different division. I pray for bad things to happen to the Iggles

Not sure Sam is the answer , maybe a Scrivens type when it's said and done unless they see Teddy missing part of next year as well

Teddy might never be the same.

He could have lost his leg if not for some quick thinking trainers paramedics.

Ideally he's back next year, but the Vikes have hedged the bet incase he isn't and takes longer/never is the same.
