Seattle did and he looked decent. Granted his main job now will be to hand to Zeke and Alfred and let the hogs up front move down the field.

You know more about the Cowboys than I do but NFL teams don't usually draft their future starting QB any later than round 2, and even most guys taken in round 2 do not become starters. If Prescott becomes a starter in the NFL, it would be a fluke. But it is possible.
 
Irony is that the two QBs of all time were not first round draft choices ( Montana and Brady) and three of the biggest busts were top 2 in Couch Russell and Leaf.

I was hoping we would get Goff but that wasn't happening. I saw a fair amount of Prescott last year so I had my eye on him. Put it this way, I wasn't upset we got him.

Hell he is a success if he wins two games while Romo is out as it would be double the win total for the crap we had last year.

My Rams got bent over and raped getting Goff , I smell a potential disaster in the making . He wasn't even the consensus top pick and not even close to a sure thing at QB and Fisher and Sneed kept their jobs :drink

No team in pre-season is playing their full defense. even if the players on the field are the starting players, they are not using the playbook they are going to use later.

Yup, there are exceptions, but the vast majority of starting QBs come at the top of the draft.

My former secretary's husband loves the Vikings from the old Randy Moss days. They just booked tickets to see them in the new stadium against the Packers on Sept 18. He is choked. I told him I feel his pain...

btw, franchise QB is your term, not mine. I simply stated they took Prescott this year as the eventual replacement.

You just have to hope that your new golden boy doesn't follow in the footsteps of past #2 draft choices, Rick Mirer, Ryan Leaf and actually can play football

I'm hearing Possibly tore up the whole knee, ACL/MCL/LCL and bone fracture.... Marcus lattimore style. Players on the Vikings were puking on the field having seen it.

Apparently Bridgewater's leg snapped and some Vikings' players barfed at the sound/sight of it.

I haven't seen any cute twitter/social media memes about it though. I guess they were all used up with Romo's injury.

mentioned it wasnt even a contact drill , I guess a total fluke injury thats happens from time to time
