Trump has been hard on two topics with every county he deals with. Trade and defense.

When he talked to china, he talked about trade and North Korea.

When he talked to Germany, he talked about illegal migrants, trade, and defense spending.

Trump has made clear by now, and explicit to the Chinese and Germans, trade and deficits and defence are linked. I don't see why Canada is any different in that regard.

in fairness, threats of war with North Korea, bombing Iraq, no wait Syria, payoffs from Russia and the failed health care bill take precedence

I also know Fox and especially Hannity will make sure it is mentioned for years whereas no one would mention it if Dump takes such a payout

don't you find it hypocritical though that she says her dad is in favour of wage equality, that he says he wants jobs at home, good jobs, that China steals all the jobs, then both he and his daughter send jobs overseas?

I don't know how he thought that

A. This wouldn't get out someday

B. He wouldn't be left out to dry by an administration already being accused of being too cozy with Russia.
 
His lawyer is still claiming he has documented proof that refutes what the committee is saying. We shall see.
