Matz is having a season very much in line with his career averages. I assume by 2nd best season you mean his 2nd best FIP. There's more to it than that, of course. It wouldn't be unrealistic to expect something like this as the norm over a 3-4 year term with some significant potential for fluctuation in either direction.I think it's important to realize Matz is having the 2nd best season of his career and that's still just an unreliable depth starter level.

Start selling next week and load up for next year
Semien isn’t resigning with us
Ah. You meant 2nd best in order of your personal preference, as set out in the mangled chart above. I won't bother disputing that.
Eh. QO both of them and if they sign somewhere else the compensation is probably as good as any trade return.
Yeah, both are good enough there's not much risk to QO, and while you might get a little more by dealing them now, not too much to really deal with the negatives from selling.I thought they were UFA’s
Compensatory picks are good value
I’d be tempted to swap Bichette and Semien but it doesn’t make much of a difference. I’d probably have Kirk in the #5 spot in a game with a DH.Not that it makes a huge difference but I'm still glad to see the order changed to what I wanted to see in the first place.
Vladdy should have been #2 from the start imo. Springer leadoff was also the right choice.....hopefully his bat gets back to its usual level.
After those 2 it doesn't really matter but semien next makes sense given how well he's hit.
Kirk should be hitting at least 6th behind Semien/Bo/Teoscar tho.
