OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

These guys aren’t good but why is a team with shit pitching giving away young pitchers who have had some minor league success and still have years of control?

1. Kirk is a catcher with a 139wrc+ so far in MLB, 141 in AAA, 153in A+, is younger than Manoah and Pearson and the same age as Martin.

2. Jays could trade two great prospects and still have one of the best systems in baseball.

I can see Kirk being that low. There's still some concerns about his D, and with his build, the problem is he doesn't have great alternate options if the D does cause troubles. You could definitely argue that he should be higher, but there's still concerns.

As to the second point, yeah, it's kind of crazy. Especially since it's not like the Vlad/Bo/Cavan group graduated all that long ago. And the fact that a lot of these top prospects are actually pretty close to the show too. Sure, Orelvis Martinez is still only down in A ball, but you could legit make a case that any of the others on that list should see some action in September, or if not, they should all be up before the first half of next year is done. They're not the "just picked" or "they mashed rookie ball and are just moving to full season baseball now" type of guys.

“Could” but they won’t. I doubt they do anything to add. Should’ve done it months ago and they’d be right in the thick of it

Guy used to be a starter, and pitched 1.1 innings and 34 pitches. It is unreal how much bad luck we've had, he's been really good and should be able to go 2 innings from time to time.

Fenway gonna Fenway, I guess, but definitely frustrating...
