If you're trading stud prospects, I'd prefer if we were going after stud players and not a guy who is a good ball player, but has a ton of his trade value tied up in him being cheap for 3 years.

Forget who but one of the sportsnet guys claimed we have about 33 million. Def not a lot to upgrade the roster. maybe 1 decent pitcher, a reclamation OF and scrubs to fill the pen.

need to get creative. Too bad. This roster doesn’t seem too far off from being legit legit.

This is what always happens when we’re “close” they make some big moves to get in the actual mix then don’t spend the additional money needed to complete the team. Then the team starts to cut back slowly and they take another stab at it in 5 years

Still have trade bait in the catchers. Would be really nice if they could find a way to turn Jansen and change into maybe one of the Cardinals young OF (O'Neill or Carlson). If they do that, then all 30M can go to helping the pitching staff out.
