OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

So when Shohei signs with the Jays, what does everyone think the hot takes will be? Are you thinking "He's not as good as people hype him up to be?", or "Jays just saddled themselves with a generation albatross contract", or are we leaning "this means Guerrero and Bichette are leaving because they can't afford them"? Or even just the simple "spent so much on one roster spot leaving too many holes on the rest of the team"?

Shohei didn't want the pressure of a contender in a big market

DH, pitching, and the first 4 batters is no longer a problem

Nah. I think they'll give them their due. They will call this a legendary signing. It's the only player that would earn that type of reaction without negativity.

Sure people will wonder about the roster etc but the signing itself will be covered as an all time signing.

There's going to be a lot of people really upset to agree with a Shatkins move, they're going to find their way to trash it.
